Want to learn how to PLAY music?

I share my 40+ years of professional musical experience with students as I individualize lesson plans to meet their goals. As we play music together during lessons I focus on students’ learning styles and help them maximize their natural gifts while offering methods to overcome the inevitable challenges that arise.

My students are neuro- and age-diverse. Lessons plans are individualized to special interests and needs. Students are offered ensemble and performance opportunities. Most importantly, students are encouraged to share their special interests and goals, towards which we strive while learning how to discover and develop the joy of sharing music!

A Few Words About Me

Welcome! My name is Tonia Herrin. My full-time professional career as a flutist/teacher began in 1974, when I was the first woman instrumentalist accepted in the US Army Field Band. Flute performance and coaching experiences include orchestra, concert band, woodwind quintet, mixed instrument chamber ensembles, harp/flute duos, and recital repertoire. Piano performance venues dictate repertoire; these include churches, restaurants, recitals, book signings, benefits, and private affairs.
